Algerian prime minister begins official visit to Chad

The Prime Minister is leading a high-profile delegation comprising key figures from Algeria, including the Minister of State for Hydrocarbons, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mourad Adjal, and the Director-General of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development, Mr. Abed Hallouz. Additionally, representatives from national companies operating in the energy, hydrocarbons, and electricity sectors are part of the delegation.

Upon arrival at N’Djamena International Airport, the Algerian Prime Minister was greeted by his Chadian counterpart, the head of government Mr. Allamaye Halina, along with several members of the Chadian government and senior officials. Groundbreaking ceremony for a 40-megawatt solidarity power plant in N’Djamena

As part of the visit, the Algerian Prime Minister, accompanied by his Chadian counterpart, will preside over the groundbreaking ceremony for a new 40-megawatt electricity production plant in the Farcha industrial zone of N’Djamena. The plant, a symbol of Algerian-Tchadian solidarity, will be built by Sonelgaz International as part of a donation from the Algerian government to Chad. This initiative aligns with President Tebboune’s directives to support sustainable development in African brother nations, reinforcing the values of African solidarity through impactful, structurally significant projects.

Consultations with the President of Chad

The Algerian Prime Minister will also hold consultations with the President of the Republic of Chad, His Excellency Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno. The talks will focus on ways to reinforce the Algerian-Chadian partnership and address key regional and continental issues of mutual interest.
