How major tv channels plan to cover the psg arsenal champions league final

Canal+, M6 and L’Équipe unveil their broadcast plans for the PSG vs Arsenal Champions League final

As the PSG vs Arsenal final approaches on Saturday at 18:00, three major French broadcasters have unveiled their extensive coverage plans. Canal+ and M6, the official rights holders, will deploy full-scale teams, while L’Équipe will dedicate its entire evening to the match despite lacking broadcast rights.

Canal+, the exclusive broadcaster of the Champions League in France, will kick off its coverage at 9:00 AM on Canal+ Foot. The channel will feature live updates from Budapest, alongside a special edition of La Clinique des sports presented by Lyes Houhou. This analysis program will focus on the physical and mental preparation of the PSG squad, with contributions from medical professionals and former player Alain Roche.

From 13:00, Canal+ will launch its Canal Bus, a mobile studio touring the streets of Budapest to capture the city’s pre-match atmosphere. The Canal Champions Club team—featuring Hervé Mathoux, Laure Boulleau, David Ginola, Robert Pirès, Christophe Jallet, Bertrand Latour, and Gauthier Kuntzmann—will be on-site, broadcasting live from the Puskás Aréna starting at 16:00. The show will continue from the pitchside after the final whistle.

Live commentary and post-match analysis

The match itself, kicking off at 18:00, will be commentated by Paul Tchoukriel and Sidney Govou, with Margot Dumont and Dominique Armand handling pitchside reports and interviews. Following the game, the Canal Champions Club will take over for a prime-time special, Late Finale Club, hosted by Nicolas Tourriol. The panel will include football legends such as Samir Nasri, Aline Riera, Mickaël Landreau, and referee Tony Chapron.

M6, the free-to-air broadcaster of the final, will send part of its 2026 World Cup team to Budapest for the occasion. Commentary will be provided by Xavier Domergue and Benoît Cheyrou, with Samuel Umtiti joining as pitchside commentator and Virginie Sainsily handling ground reports. On the studio side, Ophélie Meunier and Smaïl Bouabdellah will be joined by Ludovic Giuly, Johan Djourou, and a special guest appearance by Luis Fernandez—despite his concurrent role as a consultant for beIN Sports, which holds the paid rights to the tournament.

L’Équipe, which does not hold the broadcast rights for the final, will still dedicate its entire afternoon and evening to the event. The schedule includes:

  • 16:45–18:00: L’Équipe de Greg hosted by Grégory Ascher
  • 18:45–19:00: L’Équipe de la mi-temps presented by Olivier Ménard
  • 19:55–22:30: L’Équipe du Soir
