Kenya and Chad strengthen diplomatic and security cooperation

The bonds between Kenya and Chad continue to strengthen, built on shared values of mutual respect, African solidarity, and unwavering commitment to continental progress.

Our two nations remain dedicated to advancing common goals that benefit our citizens while reinforcing Africa’s voice on the global stage. This partnership extends beyond economics and trade—it is rooted in our shared vision for peace and stability across the continent and beyond.

During a recent meeting at the State House in Nairobi, I expressed my profound appreciation for Chad’s leadership in the United Nations-backed Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti. The deployment of Chadian troops has played a pivotal role in restoring stability, security, and hope to the Haitian people, demonstrating Africa’s capacity to lead in global peacekeeping efforts.

I also conveyed my gratitude to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno for Chad’s instrumental role in shaping the outcomes of the recent Africa Forward Summit. The collaboration between our nations at this high-profile gathering underscored our ability to drive meaningful change through collective action.

These discussions reaffirm our shared belief that Africa’s future is best secured through solidarity, strategic partnerships, and proactive engagement in international peace missions.
