On Thursday, July 9, in Rabat, Hicham Balaoui, the King’s Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation and President of the Public Prosecution, convened a significant working session with Ousmane Abderamane Djougourou, the Inspector General of Chad’s Independent Anti-Corruption Authority. This meeting was a key part of a broader visit by the Chadian official, specifically designed to gather insights into Morocco’s established experience in both preventing and actively combating corruption.

During the session, Mr. Balaoui comprehensively outlined the fundamental pillars of Morocco’s anti-corruption framework. He emphasized the robust legal and institutional structures that have been meticulously put in place, alongside the specific penal policies rigorously pursued by the Public Prosecution in this vital domain. The discussions also delved into a comparative analysis of leading practices in the global fight against corruption.

Furthermore, the Chadian delegation received a detailed overview of several innovative initiatives championed by the Public Prosecution. These included a dedicated direct telephone hotline, specifically established for citizens to report instances of corruption and embezzlement. The delegation was also introduced to the advanced digital platform known as «e-TABLIGH».
