Ndiaga Seck denies private relationship with Senegal’s Prime Minister during court testimony

In a pivotal moment during his court hearings, Ndiaga Seck, a prominent political figure in Senegal, made a striking declaration about his personal connections with the country’s Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko. Addressing allegations head-on, Seck categorically stated that Sonko had no knowledge of his private life.

The statement, delivered in Wolof as « Xamul woon li may dund » (« He knew nothing about my private life »), underscores Seck’s insistence that his friendship with the Prime Minister remained strictly professional. This revelation comes as the legal proceedings unfold in Louga, where Seck was detained under a judicial remand order issued by the investigating judge at the regional court.

The case, which originated from the urban police station in Linguère, centers on allegations of unnatural acts. At 51 years old, Seck now faces serious charges that have thrust him into the spotlight amid ongoing investigations. His detention follows a formal indictment and transfer to judicial custody, marking a critical phase in a case that has drawn public attention across the region.
