Tchad assesses two-year progress of presidential program

The General Secretariat of the Government of Chad has convened a four-day technical validation workshop to assess the biennial report on the President’s political program. The event, taking place from June 2 to 5 in N’Djaména, brings together officials to review progress between May 2024 and May 2026.

The opening ceremony at the Radisson Blu hotel was led by Dr. Ramatou Mahamat Outouin, Secretary-General of the Government, who emphasized that this workshop is more than a procedural exercise. It represents a critical moment to evaluate the government’s commitments to the Chadian people.

Measuring progress and accountability

In her address, Dr. Outouin highlighted the importance of transparency in governance, stating that this review process strengthens public trust in institutions. She noted that the biennial report reflects not just numbers and indicators, but the dedication of countless civil servants who worked diligently behind the scenes.

« This is not a time for compliments, but for honest assessment, » she asserted. The workshop serves as a platform to examine achievements while identifying areas needing improvement. The Chadian leader’s vision, she explained, prioritizes public service transformation and citizen-centered governance, ensuring that policies address the real needs of farmers, teachers, and entrepreneurs.

A document of reality and responsibility

The Secretary-General called for rigorous examination of the report, stressing that it must accurately reflect both progress made and the road ahead. « This exercise is both technical and deeply human, » she noted, urging participants to approach their work with responsibility and integrity.

The biennial assessment workshop continues through June 5, serving as a vital tool for the government to fulfill its pledge of accountability to the nation.
