Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS unveils future after SICTA acquisition in Côte d’Ivoire

The holding company Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS has officially confirmed its acquisition of SICTA (Société Ivoirienne de Contrôle Technique Automobile), a long-standing and prominent vehicle inspection operator in Côte d’Ivoire.

During a press briefing held in Abidjan on April 29, David Fofana, the CEO of Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, discussed the strategic takeover of SICTA and highlighted the significant progress made in the year following its successful integration.

Through this strategic absorption of SICTA, Mayelia gains access to a rich legacy spanning five decades of industry expertise, which it plans to invigorate with a fresh wave of innovation.

A primary goal articulated by the leadership is to substantially enhance the user experience. This objective appears highly achievable, given Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS’ proven track record. The group previously demonstrated its capacity for service transformation by successfully cutting waiting times to just 30 minutes with the introduction of Mayelia Automotive, thereby setting new benchmarks within the sector.

The company is committed to aligning itself with the government’s « Zéro complaisance » policy, aiming to serve as a crucial partner for the state in bolstering road safety and actively working to decrease road fatalities.

Beyond its core vehicle inspection activities, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS has evolved into a rapidly expanding multisectoral group, driven by a compelling pan-African vision and a strategy centered on synergistic operations across its various ventures. Currently active in two nations, the Group oversees six distinct subsidiaries. These operate in vital sectors including mobility (Mayelia Mobilité), technology solutions (CIEIRIA), professional training (Mayelia Academy), and, of course, vehicle inspection services (Mayelia Automotive Côte d’Ivoire, Mayelia Automotive Guinée, and SICTA).
