Thousands gathered in Niamey on Saturday to commemorate the third anniversary of the CNSP’s takeover, marking a significant turning point in Niger’s history.

“This momentous day marks a new chapter in Niger’s story, as the nation and its people have come together to support the CNSP’s efforts to bring about change,” said Boubacar Kimba Kollo, a prominent civil society figure.

For protesters, this gathering serves as an opportunity to celebrate the progress made since the CNSP’s rise to power.

“The 26th of July represents freedom, hope, and a new path forward for our nation,” said Abdoulaye Salifou, a protester.

“Niger has made significant strides, particularly in asserting its sovereignty and resisting external influences,” added Moussa Moumouni, another protester.
