Pastef Fracture: Dr Abdourahmane Diouf Reveals Truth About Crisis
Dr Abdourahmane Diouf, Minister of Energy and Petroleum, has shed light on the crisis within Pastef, a party that has been plagued by internal contradictions.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Sénégal Internationale (RSI), Dr Diouf accused Pastef of betrayal, particularly towards President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. He claimed that the president had always respected his word, but was isolated and betrayed by Pastef’s leadership.
Dr Diouf also criticized Ousmane Sonko, who he believes is behind the crisis. He said that the president had taken responsibility for the situation, having realized the betrayal of his partners, including Sonko.
The minister emphasized that Pastef cannot be at the origin of a betrayal while accusing President Faye of being himself unfaithful. He also urged his former colleagues in the government to stop their recriminations and take responsibility for their actions.
Dr Diouf reiterated his support for President Faye’s second term, citing the creation of a new party as motivation. He also denounced the internal contradictions within Pastef, which he believes hinder its ability to align with its own leader while criticizing others.
