Parliamentary inquiry into delayed sports ministry bonuses

Deputy Guy Marius Sagna has formally raised concerns with the government regarding the disbursement of post-CAN bonus funds allocated to Sports Ministry employees. In a written question submitted to the Minister of Sports, the legislator from the 15th Legislature seeks clarity on whether ministry staff have received their promised financial rewards.

The inquiry highlights an announcement made by the Head of State following Senegal’s continental triumph, which included a total allocation of 305 million West African CFA francs for bonuses within the Sports Ministry. To date, the fate of these funds remains unclear, prompting renewed scrutiny over administrative accountability.

« Madam Minister, have the staff of the Sports Ministry received the rewards they were promised? » Sagna questioned in his official correspondence, underscoring the urgency of the matter.
