Chad’s supreme court schedules succés masra appeal for may 2026

Affaire Succès Masra : la Cour suprême du Tchad inscrit le dossier à son audience du 21 mai 2026

A significant judicial development has emerged in the ongoing case involving Succès Masra. The Supreme Court of Chad’s Judicial Chamber has officially listed the matter for its ordinary public hearing, set to take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 9 AM.

This crucial update comes from an audience role document, signed in N’Djamena on May 19, 2026, by M. Samir Adam Annour, the President of the 2nd Criminal Section. The official record, identified as dossier n°092/25, outlines the parties involved in this legal proceeding.

On one side are Succès Masra and the individuals accused in the Mandakao affair, collectively represented by a defense legal team, notably led by Me Kadjilem-baye Francis. Opposing them are the Public Prosecutor and the Chadian State, whose interests are upheld by the Agence judiciaire de l’État (AJE).

The core of the upcoming hearing revolves around an appeal in cassation. This challenge targets criminal judgment n°018/25, which was previously issued by the N’Djamena Court of Appeal on August 9, 2025. Magistrate Amadou Oumarou has been designated as the reporting magistrate for this complex dossier.
