CAN 2027 qualifying draw: full group breakdown revealed
Football fans across Africa are now fully briefed on the road to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations after the qualifying draw was finalised in Cairo this week. The 48 participating nations have been split into 12 balanced groups of four, setting the stage for a fiercely competitive qualification race.
Qualification kicks off with matchdays in September and October 2026, culminating in the final group games scheduled for March 2027. The top two teams from each group will secure direct passage to the tournament finals, co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
