Chad peace efforts urged by Emmanuel Nadingar amid rising tensions

In a press briefing held at the Sabangali headquarters in N’Djaména’s 3rd arrondissement on May 23, Emmanuel Nadingar, President of the Universal Peace Federation’s Chad chapter, addressed pressing socio-political challenges and global conflicts.

Unity over divisiveness: A call for dialogue

Nadingar emphasized that escalating violence worldwide, often driven by competition over dwindling resources, has pushed communities toward isolation and fragmentation. Within Chad, he noted significant developments—though without elaborating—underscoring the urgency of national cohesion.

To combat these threats, he urged Chadians to abandon divisive ideologies, including sectarianism and self-isolation, and instead cultivate a spirit of mutual respect. A genuine and transparent dialogue among all citizens, he stressed, is the cornerstone for building lasting peace.

Peace as the foundation for resilience

« Only through unity can we strengthen our collective resilience against the challenges surrounding us, » Nadingar declared. His appeal comes at a time when national stability remains fragile, demanding proactive measures to prevent further fragmentation.
