Ligue 1 crisis as Nantes vs Toulouse match abandoned after fan invasion

Twenty minutes into the final Ligue 1 fixture of the season, the clash between FC Nantes and Toulouse FC descended into chaos. Dozens of individuals, dressed in black and wearing club-colored hoods, breached security barriers with smoke flares. The sudden incursion forced both teams to flee toward the locker rooms while security scrambled to restore order.

Halilhodzic’s reaction sparks controversy

Nantes coach Vahid Halilhodzic attempted to confront the invading fans but was restrained by his own staff. His visible anger was later captured on Ligue 1+ cameras as he unleashed his frustration in the locker room. Though most of the intruders retreated to their stands, the match remains suspended.
