Maroc women employment at the heart of new partnership with world bank

A new partnership framework has been sealed between the World Bank and the Moroccan government to accelerate the next phase of growth by supporting the priorities of inclusive development.

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, emphasized the aid to job creation for young people and women, both in cities and in rural areas.

Breaking Ground

This new framework marks a decisive step for Morocco. It distinguishes itself by its structural nature: it aligns public and private financing, knowledge, and reforms around a shared vision for the future of the Kingdom

Indeed, this framework «anchors» in the New Model of Development of Morocco, the roadmap of the Kingdom for a more dynamic, equitable, and resilient economy, where the insertion of young people and women into employment has become a major challenge.

A Three-Fold Approach

  • First, increasing business competitiveness by reducing regulatory obstacles, reinforcing market competition, and expanding access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises.
  • Second, developing better-connected and more inclusive cities and territories by reducing geographical disparities and improving access to markets and services in urban and rural areas.
  • Third, strengthening human capital by supporting education reforms, universal health coverage, and extending social protection systems.
