Michel Moto hails Félix Tshisekedi as the finest leader in the history of DR Congo
During a recent live discussion, National Deputy Michel Moto Muhima offered a glowing assessment of President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, describing him as the most effective leader the nation has seen since gaining independence. Moto linked this endorsement to a broader call for constitutional reform, suggesting that a new legal framework would empower the head of state to further his development agenda.
A record of unprecedented progress
According to Moto, the achievements of the current administration over the past six to seven years have eclipsed the progress made during the previous eighteen-year era and the thirty-two years that preceded it. He argued that the evidence of this transformation is visible across multiple sectors, including the economy, national security, social welfare, and international diplomacy.
“Félix Antoine Tshisekedi is the best head of state our nation has known since independence, and I can prove it,” Moto asserted. He emphasized that the current era must be recognized for its unique contributions to the country’s trajectory, particularly in the rapid expansion of infrastructure and the strengthening of the political landscape.
Economic boom and constitutional reform
The deputy highlighted a significant surge in the national economy, noting that local entrepreneurship has experienced a major boost under the current leadership. While acknowledging that challenges remain, Moto insisted that the president requires a more robust constitutional foundation to reach his full potential for the country.
Regarding the ongoing debate over constitutional changes, Moto advocated for a direct appeal to the citizens. He suggested that the proposal for a referendum be presented to the people, allowing the “sovereign primary” to decide the nation’s future through a democratic vote. “Let the population speak through a ‘yes’ or a ‘no,’ and we will respect that decision,” he concluded.
