Only Ousmane Sonko’s bid for the presidency of Pastef-Les Patriotes has been validated so far, according to the provisional candidate list released by the party’s High Authority for Regulation (HARP). The decision, made public on May 22, confirms that all other applications remain under review at this stage.

The upcoming party congress, scheduled within the next few weeks, will be tasked with electing Pastef’s new leader. While Sonko’s candidacy stands as the sole approved option for now, the possibility of additional submissions being accepted remains open until the final registration deadline.
