During a meeting with Morocco’s Ambassador to Peru, Amin Chaoudri, Peru’s president-elect Keiko Fujimori received a congratulatory message from His Majesty King Mohammed VI following her electoral victory. The encounter also served to underscore the incoming Peruvian administration’s commitment to supporting Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its southern provinces.

In a statement from her office, Fujimori reaffirmed her full alignment with UN Security Council Resolution 2797, which endorses the Moroccan Autonomy Plan as the foundation for a lasting solution to the regional dispute over Western Sahara. The resolution’s framework aims to bring a definitive conclusion to the long-standing conflict.
