PSG officialises first major summer transfer as Gonçalo Ramos joins AC Milan

Expected to be very active this summer, PSG has just made its first major transfer official. Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos is leaving the capital club after three seasons in Paris, signing with AC Milan through 2031.

This summer, PSG will see significant changes in its squad. Coach Luis Enrique wants to revitalize a group that has won the Champions League two years in a row. And as activity heats up behind the scenes, the first major transfer window move has been confirmed with Gonçalo Ramos signing for AC Milan.

Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan is official

In an official statement, PSG announced the transfer: “After three seasons at Paris Saint-Germain with no fewer than 12 trophies won, including two consecutive Champions League titles, Gonçalo Ramos joins AC Milan in a permanent transfer.” The Italian club also confirmed the move, detailing the contract length: “AC Milan announces today the signing of Gonçalo Matias Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain FC. The Portuguese forward has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2031.”

One of PSG’s biggest sales ever

The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but Fabrizio Romano states AC Milan will pay €74M with bonuses that could push the total to €80M. This is the most expensive transfer in Rossoneri history and also the second biggest sale in PSG history. The €90M paid by Al-Hilal for Neymar in 2023 remains the club’s record sale, but Gonçalo Ramos now sits just behind, ahead of Manuel Ugarte and Xavi Simons, who were both transferred for €50M to Manchester United and Tottenham respectively. PSG’s summer has officially begun!
