Tarik Hamane elected to lead AMEPA for a four-year term
A recent assembly successfully concluded with the election of a new Board of Directors and an Executive Bureau. These bodies now comprise 27 and 12 members, respectively, ensuring comprehensive representation of all public and private stakeholders within the sector.
Concurrently, an extraordinary General Assembly convened to review and endorse the Association’s moral and financial reports. During this session, members also ratified a resolution to amend AMEPA’s statutes. This crucial update aims to align the organization’s operations with the evolving landscape of Morocco’s water sector and to invigorate its initiatives, particularly in fostering industrial sovereignty.

Established in 1997, AMEPA currently boasts a membership exceeding 95 active entities. This diverse group includes various public and private operators, Regional Multiservice Companies (SRM), concessionaires, as well as industrial firms and specialized engineering and construction companies dedicated to potable water and sanitation.
Through this refreshed governance structure, AMEPA aspires to cultivate a more cohesive and collaborative ecosystem. The Association’s overarching goal is to elevate Moroccan industry, engineering, and expertise in the water domain to an unparalleled level of excellence, achieving recognition not only domestically but also across the African continent and on the international stage.
