Women in Lac Province stand united with security forces against Boko Haram
The women of Lac Province have chosen solidarity in the face of mounting pressure from recent Boko Haram attacks. Gathering under the Provincial Women’s Network, they made their stance clear on May 22, 2026 in Baga-Sola, pledging unwavering support for the defense and security forces while urging unity against the terrorist threat.

Led by the network’s president, Achta Adoum Abdoulaye, a delegation of women was received at the Baga-Sola headquarters by the Provincial Governor’s delegate, General Saleh Haggar Tidjani. Their mission? To deliver a powerful message: resounding support—moral, logistical, and material—for the troops battling Boko Haram in the region.

Achta Adoum Abdoulaye spoke on behalf of the women of Lac Province, commending the tireless efforts of administrative and military authorities to curb insecurity and uphold stability.
