President Romuald Wadagni has revealed the lineup of his first government in Bénin, consisting of 24 ministers, including several delegated ministers.
Elected during the presidential elections held on April 12, 2026, Romuald Wadagni formally took his oath of office on Sunday, May 24, during a solemn ceremony at the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou. On the evening of his investiture, the newly sworn-in president proceeded to constitute his initial government.
This new executive team is composed of 24 ministers, a number that includes three delegated ministers specifically assigned to the Minister of Economy and Finance. Notably, seven ministers from the outgoing government of Patrice Talon have been retained in this new administration, with some experiencing shifts in their ministerial portfolios.
President Romuald Wadagni has pledged to maintain and advance the development momentum established in Bénin by his predecessor, Patrice Talon.
