Borussia Dortmund is reportedly poised to sign Fisnik Asllani, a promising talent currently playing for TSG Hoffenheim. The deal appears to be concluded, signaling a significant move in the transfer market.

The transfer of the forward to Borussia Dortmund (BVB) is understood to be finalized, with all transaction details already settled. Fisnik Asllani, who is under contract with Hoffenheim until 2029, benefits from a performance-related release clause. As Borussia Dortmund has successfully qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stage for the past three consecutive seasons, this specific provision has been activated, setting the transfer fee at precisely 30 million euros.

• The 23-year-old attacker truly established himself as a prominent figure in the Bundesliga during the recently concluded season. With an impressive tally of eleven goals and ten assists across 35 official matches, Asllani showcased his exceptional qualities, solidifying his reputation as one of the most coveted forwards in the league.

• BVB squad: what’s next for Guirassy and Adeyemi?

Asllani is expected to depart the Kraichgau region. The imminent arrival of this central striker is set to trigger significant offensive rotation within the BVB squad. The acquisition of another top-tier forward suggests potential departures within the Black and Yellows’ attacking ranks. The names of Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi are particularly prominent in these discussions.

• Guirassy’s future at BVB is uncertain.

Karamba Guirassy, the brother and advisor of Serhou Guirassy (30), recently refuted rumors suggesting a transfer to Turkish club Fenerbahçe was already agreed upon. He affirmed: “To clarify the situation: no agreement, of any kind, has been concluded. Serhou is currently evaluating his options for the upcoming season. Allegations of a verbal agreement are simply false.”

Borussia Dortmund management has reportedly reignited discussions to convince him to extend his tenure beyond the current season, presenting him with a long-term project at Signal Iduna Park. A challenge for the Black and Yellows is that the 30-year-old Guinean international is widely expected to await the conclusion of the World Cup before making a definitive decision on his future.

A quick glance at his statistics explains why the striker is so highly coveted and why BVB is fighting to retain him: since 2024, he has played 96 official matches, scoring 60 goals and providing 15 assists.

• Adeyemi’s future at BVB remains uncertain.

Adeyemi will enter the final year of his contract next season. Should BVB fail to extend the attacker, who joined the club in 2022, he would become a free agent in the summer of 2027.

Contract discussions are anticipated to be challenging: the player, currently earning approximately 6.5 million euros annually, is reportedly demanding over ten million euros. Furthermore, Adeyemi and his representatives are said to be pushing for a release clause.

Considering the 24-year-old’s notable fluctuations in performance, Borussia Dortmund’s management appears hesitant to meet all his demands. The attacker has not been an undisputed starter under Niko Kovac, having made 28 Bundesliga appearances with an average of 42 minutes per match, and scoring only four goals across all competitions in 2026.
