Côte d’Ivoire secures monumental funding for 2026-2030 national development plan
Côte d’Ivoire has successfully raised 47.82 trillion FCFA to finance its ambitious National Development Plan 2026-2030, a significant achievement lauded by President Alassane Ouattara.

Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara has expressed profound satisfaction with the outcomes of the Consultative Group meeting focused on financing the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030. The nation successfully secured an impressive 47,820 billion FCFA, equivalent to 80 billion US dollars. This substantial sum represents approximately four times the funding initially targeted from the private sector, highlighting a remarkable level of commitment from international partners.
President Ouattara underscored that this extraordinary success reflects the global community’s unwavering confidence in Côte d’Ivoire and its promising development trajectory. He affirmed the government’s steadfast dedication to translating these significant financial pledges into tangible achievements, thereby enhancing the country’s infrastructure and expanding economic opportunities for all its citizens.
The PND 2026-2030 is strategically structured around six core priorities designed to foster sustainable growth: ensuring peace and security, advancing agriculture, stimulating private sector development, investing in human capital, upgrading critical infrastructure, and promoting sound governance. The overarching ambition is to elevate Côte d’Ivoire to an upper-middle-income economy by the year 2030, characterized by a robust GDP per capita of 4,500 US dollars and a significant reduction in the poverty rate to below 20%.
The Consultative Group gathering, held in the vibrant city of Abidjan, brought together an expansive network of over 2,000 investors from 49 different countries. These representatives, drawn from diverse financial institutions and enterprises, convened to deliberate and commit to the crucial financing required for the PND’s successful implementation.
