PDCI-RDA Seeks Dialogue on Election Organs, Demands List Revision

Abidjan, July 7, 2026 – The Porte-parole of the PDCI-RDA, Brédoumy Soumaïla, reiterated on Wednesday, July 7, 2026, at Abidjan Cocody, his party’s unwavering stance on establishing a consensual organ in charge of elections that must go through direct political dialogue among key players, rather than relying solely on information-sharing.

‘The PDCI-RDA has formally approached the government to demand an immediate start to this dialogue,’ said Mr. Soumaïla during a press conference at the Party House. ‘Our recent history teaches us that lasting peace and social cohesion cannot afford to overlook consultation.’ He lamented the fact that the head of the government had invited political formations to an ‘information-sharing’ meeting without exchange, describing this approach as inadequate.

The PDCI-RDA demands a revised electoral list by the end of 2026, in line with the Electoral Code. Mr. Brédoumy condemned the non-compliance with the revision planned for 2025, which was financially supported from the state budget without any official justification.

‘The government must account to Ivoirian taxpayers of its management of this budget,’ he emphasized.

‘The people call upon PDCI-RDA to save them. This rescue comes through President Cheick Tidjane Thiam, in order to regain state power for progress and happiness for all,’ concluded Mr. Soumaïla.
