France and Russia are engaged in a fierce information war across Africa, with each side vying for influence. Moscow’s hybrid warfare tactics, which intensified after its 2018 intervention in the Central African Republic, aim to weaken France’s historical ties with the continent and replace them with its own sphere of influence. By leveraging public opinion manipulation, Russia seeks to undermine Paris’s credibility and presence in Africa.
