Jordan denounces foiled terror plots in Morocco and stands with Rabat

Jordan has strongly condemned the terror plots foiled in Morocco this Monday, July 6, reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with Rabat in safeguarding the Kingdom’s security and stability.

In an official statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Amman described the disrupted plans as attempts to severely undermine public order and threaten the safety of Moroccan citizens and infrastructure.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Fouad Majali, emphasized Jordan’s absolute support for Morocco, endorsing all measures taken by Rabat to protect its population and preserve national security.

This declaration follows the announcement by Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations regarding the dismantling of highly dangerous terror plots at an advanced stage of preparation.

Based on precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate for National Security (DGST), simultaneous operations led to the arrest of radicalized individuals across multiple Moroccan cities.

Initial investigations reveal that the suspects were operating under the logistical and operational guidance of an ISIS-affiliated group operating in the Sahel region.
