A new chapter in Mali-Morocco relations is unfolding as the two nations convene for a pivotal bilateral meeting in Bamako. Officials from both governments confirmed the launch of the fourth session of the High-Level Joint Cooperation Commission, scheduled from July 21 to 24, 2026, at the Malian capital’s diplomatic quarters.

The four-day summit brings together senior officials, technical experts, and private sector leaders to chart a shared path forward. The agenda centers on evaluating ongoing initiatives, assessing tangible progress, and identifying fresh opportunities for collaboration that align with both countries’ evolving needs.

Preceding the ministerial-level discussions on July 24, technical teams will meet on July 21 and 22 to lay the groundwork. The following day, July 23, will feature the Mali-Morocco Business Forum, a dedicated platform designed to connect entrepreneurs from both nations and foster investment flows into high-value projects.

The discussions will span a wide range of strategic sectors, including trade, agriculture, infrastructure, mining, energy, healthcare, vocational training, higher education, security, culture, youth development, and sports. The goal is to deepen existing ties while unlocking new avenues for cooperation with high growth potential.

Among the anticipated outcomes is the signing of multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding. These instruments aim to strengthen the legal framework for collaboration and streamline the execution of joint initiatives.
