Paris Saint-Germain finalises significant player transfer

While the World Cup captivates global audiences, the burgeoning football transfer market is equally commanding attention. This period of player movement is now officially underway, impacting even those participating in the premier international tournament. A prime example is Gonçalo Ramos, the Paris Saint-Germain forward, whose contractual future has been definitively settled, with only the final signature pending.

An agreement has been successfully reached between Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan. This development was confirmed today, following earlier reports, detailing the impending departure of Gonçalo Ramos from PSG to join AC Milan. The clubs have finalised terms for an operation valued at €70 million, inclusive of bonuses.

Second highest player sale in Paris Saint-Germain history

Gonçalo Ramos, the 25-year-old Portuguese striker, initially arrived in Paris in August 2023 from Benfica. His transfer involved an initial paid loan of €20 million, followed by a permanent deal worth approximately €65 million. With this move, he is set to become the most expensive acquisition in AC Milan’s history, surpassing the €50 million paid for Rafael Leao from Lille in 2019.

From the Parisian club’s perspective, this transaction represents an exceptional financial gain. Only the sale of Neymar to Saudi club Al-Hilal in 2023, which generated €90 million, has brought in more revenue for the capital’s team. During his tenure with Paris Saint-Germain, Gonçalo Ramos featured in a total of 131 matches across all competitions, contributing significantly with 45 goals and nine assists.
