Paris Saint-Germain nears first major transfer deal
As the 2025-2026 season culminated in a historic back-to-back Champions League triumph, Paris Saint-Germain is already strategically planning its next campaign, focusing intently on strengthening its formidable squad.
PSG concluded their 2025-2026 season in spectacular fashion. By securing victory in the Champions League final against Arsenal (a 1-1 draw followed by a 4-3 penalty shootout win), the Parisian club achieved an unprecedented consecutive European title. Now, the Rouge & Bleu are setting their sights on an ambitious goal: retaining their European crown for a third consecutive year. To achieve this, the Parisian board is determined to introduce key enhancements to their player roster.
Aleksey Batrakov’s agent confirms imminent transfer to PSG
Indeed, a significant initial transfer appears to be on the verge of completion. For several weeks, Aleksey Batrakov, the talented player from Lokomotiv Moscow, has been a prime target for the reigning European champions and is now reportedly close to joining the capital club. The 20-year-old Russian international’s agent, Dmitry Cheltsov, has openly confirmed the imminent transfer. Cheltsov stated, “It’s high time to announce that, with 95% certainty, Batrakov will be moving to PSG. Officials from both PSG and Lokomotiv have engaged in over ten telephone discussions already. This week, Campos himself will travel to Moscow to finalize the transfer. At this point, only an unforeseen force majeure event could prevent this transaction from happening. The transfer fee is set at 25 million euros, with an estimated salary of 5 to 6 million euros.” This season, the attacking midfielder has showcased exceptional form for Lokomotiv Moscow, netting 17 goals and providing 13 assists across 36 appearances in all competitions. Such a profile perfectly aligns with PSG’s strategic recruitment objectives.
