Richard bona criticises Cameroon’s youth over corruption

Renowned Cameroonian bassist and singer Richard Bona, currently living in exile, has sparked intense debate by openly criticising the youth of Cameroon, labelling them as deeply corrupt. His remarks, shared during an exclusive interview, have resonated widely across social media and public discussions in Yaoundé.

“The youth in Cameroon are a corrupted generation,” Bona stated. “They were raised in a system where they expect handouts rather than striving for progress. Apart from a few rare exceptions, this is a generation that has embraced corruption. I’m not optimistic about Cameroon’s future.”
