Stuttgart secures bilal el khannouss on a permanent deal
VfB Stuttgart has finalized the permanent acquisition of Bilal El Khannouss, who now makes his move from Leicester City official. The 22-year-old Moroccan attacking midfielder, following a highly impactful loan period, has committed to a long-term agreement with the Bundesliga club.
Throughout his inaugural campaign in the Bundesliga, the young international participated in 41 matches across all competitions, impressively contributing nine goals and providing seven assists. These strong displays were instrumental in securing his selection for the Moroccan national team’s 2026 World Cup squad, where the Atlas Lions are scheduled to kick off their tournament journey against Brazil on June 14.
El Khannouss honed his skills at Anderlecht before making a name for himself at Genk, subsequently playing for Leicester prior to his move to Stuttgart. His impressive career already includes a prestigious Africa Cup of Nations title with Morocco, a continental U23 championship, and an Olympic bronze medal, solidifying his status as one of African football’s brightest emerging talents.
