A coalition comprising 43 African civil society organizations has formally lodged an appeal with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU). This significant move targets President Faure Gnassingbé and his administration, specifically challenging recent amendments to Togo’s national constitution. The organizations seek intervention from these prominent regional and continental bodies regarding the constitutional shifts in the West African nation.
