Bassirou Diomaye Faye replaces loyalists with new directors in Senegal
Following an initial round of dismissals targeting directors aligned with Ousmane Sonko, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has carried out a second wave of replacements this Wednesday.
Among the most prominent changes is the removal of Waly Diouf Bodiang, who served as Director General of the Port Autonome de Dakar. Bodiang, a key figure within Pastef, has been succeeded by Doune Pathé Mbengue, a former activist from Apr.
The restructuring also affected Babo Amadou Ba, National Coordinator of Pastef cadres (Moncap) and Director General of the Fonds de financement de la formation professionnelle et technique (3FPT). He has been replaced by Soulèye Kane.
Another notable dismissal is that of Lamine Barra Lô, who led the Office national de la formation professionnelle (ONFP) in Touba. His position has been taken over by Mame Awa Ndoye.
Additionally, Karamba Diallo has been appointed as the new Director General of SEN-Pharmacie nationale d’approvisionnement, succeeding Seydou Diallo—previously a Sonko supporter and Pastef representative in Keur Massar.
