The Burkinabè delegation arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, on August 2, 2026, to compete in the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2026, a prestigious global competition showcasing the brightest young minds in AI.

Following months of rigorous preparation—including national selections and intensive machine learning training—Pascaline Lompo and Madina Toé will represent Burkina Faso in this year’s edition. They will be led by their Team Leader, Ariel Shadrac Ouédraogo.

This participation provides the Burkinabè representatives with a platform to benchmark their skills against global peers while highlighting Burkina Faso’s burgeoning potential in artificial intelligence.
