Cameroon: government reassures on president biya’s health and imminent return

Cameroun: Paul Biya «est en vie…Il n’y a aucune vacance du pouvoir», selon le ministre de la Communication

The Cameroonian government has finally addressed the prolonged 56-day absence of President Paul Biya from the country. René Emmanuel Sadi, the Minister of Communication and government spokesperson, declared in an exclusive interview that President Biya’s return to Cameroon is imminent. He firmly refuted widespread reports suggesting the president was ill and hospitalized in a Geneva clinic, dismissing such claims as unfounded. Furthermore, Minister Sadi rejected outright any speculations from the opposition regarding a potential power vacuum within the nation.
