At just 23 years old, the English international has signed a long-term contract with the London club, committing his future until 2033. This landmark agreement surpasses the previous record, established only two weeks prior when Manchester City secured Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for approximately £135 million.

Rogers’ footballing path has been anything but conventional. Starting at West Bromwich Albion, he later joined Manchester City’s academy before moving on without making a senior appearance. His development continued through successive loans at Lincoln City, Bournemouth, and Blackpool. After a stint at Middlesbrough, he landed at Aston Villa in early 2024, where he flourished.
