Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – In a move aimed at revitalizing the country’s struggling electricity sector, Traoré Amidou has taken the reins as new CEO of CI-ENERGIES, the state-owned energy company.

This follows the departure of long-serving Director General Noumory Sidibé, who led the organization for nearly five years.

During his tenure, Sidibé oversaw significant progress in expanding access to electricity across the country, a goal that CI-ENERGIES aims to continue under Amidou’s leadership.

Notably, the new CEO has pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor while introducing innovative strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
