The Journées ouvertes pour l’utilisation de la recherche et de l’innovation en éducation (JOURIE 2026) kicked off in Abidjan this week, marking a pivotal moment in Côte d’Ivoire’s educational evolution. Under the theme « Transformer l’éducation par le numérique : des solutions durables pour une école de qualité », the JOURIE 2026 aims to spotlight how research and innovation can elevate the country’s education system. Organized by the Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Technical Training (MENAET), the event emphasizes sustainable solutions to enhance teaching quality nationwide.

Dr. Inza Meité, Director of Studies, Planning and Statistics (DESPS), highlighted the event’s role in fostering dialogue between academia, educators, and decision-makers. « These JOURIE 2026 sessions are a rare opportunity to align research outcomes with educational policies, ensuring that reforms are rooted in evidence and innovation, » he noted.
