Libya and Chad Strengthen Military Ties
Regional Cooperation Takes Center Stage
The general commander of Libyan forces, General Saddam Haftar, arrived in the Republic of Chad’s capital N’Djamena. He was welcomed at the presidential palace by President Mahamat Déby Itno.
The two sides discussed regional issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, serving the strategic interests of both countries.
General Haftar emphasized the depth of fraternal relations and historical ties between the two nations, affirming the commitment of the General Command of Libyan Armed Forces to enhance military and security cooperation to face common challenges, contributing to regional stability.
In return, President Déby Itno expressed his great appreciation for General Khalifa Abou al-Qasim Haftar and the role of the General Command of Arab Libyan Armed Forces in maintaining security and stability in Libya, which has a positive impact on regional security.
