Marrakech’s Royal Vision: A Model of Success for Africa and the World

The Moroccan monarchy has been hailed as a ‘model of success’ in politics and economics, thanks to its visionary leadership, according to Ilan Berman, vice-president of the American Foreign Policy Council.

According to Berman, Morocco’s progress over the past two decades is nothing short of remarkable. The country has emerged as a leader in regional affairs and African relations, with its King Mohammed VI at the helm.

Berman attributes Morocco’s success to the king’s ‘clear vision’ and the coherence of the strategies implemented under his leadership.

The American expert also believes that Morocco will continue to benefit from these advances, despite challenges ahead. ‘The Visionary Royal perspective will be invaluable,’ he said.

As relations between Rabat and Washington mark their 250th anniversary this year, Berman highlighted the depth, breadth, and dynamism of this strategic partnership.

‘This partnership can bring significant gains for both Morocco in its African strategy and the US in its foreign policy priorities,’ he concluded.
