The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) have declared a renewed offensive against militant factions in the country’s northern and central regions. According to an official statement, military operations have successfully restored stability in areas previously targeted by the Azawad Liberation Front in the north and the Support Group for Islam and Muslims (JNIM), an Al-Qaeda affiliate, in the center and south.

Following the arrival of reinforcements to the Azawad Liberation Front, intense fighting erupted on Sunday in Anifif, located roughly 110 kilometers south of Kidal. The Malian military reported that its units engaged the enemy with unwavering resolve, sustaining combat operations throughout the day with precision and discipline.
