Sénégal : Ousmane Sonko confirmé à la présidence de l’Assemblée nationale

The nation’s Constitutional Council has definitively dismissed the appeal lodged by the opposition regarding his return to Parliament, declaring itself without jurisdiction to review the matter. This ruling is final and cannot be challenged.

Following his dismissal as Prime Minister by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye at the end of May, Ousmane Sonko promptly resumed his parliamentary duties before being elected to lead the National Assembly.
