Pastef concludes intensive 48-hour outreach in jolof, inaugurating new departmental headquarters

The PASTEF-Les Patriotes party has successfully wrapped up an impactful two-day political engagement across the Jolof region. This extensive tour, which traversed all 19 communes within the Linguère department—from Dahra to Barkédji, encompassing key areas like Sagatta and Yang-Yang—saw the active participation of party leader Ousmane Sonko, alongside Minister of State Habib Sy, numerous national executives, and allied coalition members.

The itinerary featured crucial meetings with local religious and traditional authorities, complementing interactions with the party’s grassroots structures, including youth movements, women’s groups, and professional cadres. Following this significant mobilization, the local party leadership formally established its strategic roadmap for future initiatives. With the official opening of the departmental headquarters and the commencement of membership card distribution, PASTEF aims to significantly reinforce its territorial presence through a direct, proximity-focused approach within the villages and neighborhoods of the department. This on-the-ground Sahel engagement is crucial for the party’s growth.

In parallel with these internal organizational efforts, local political leaders are extending an open invitation for unity and collaboration. They are actively encouraging militants, sympathizers, and political actors from other formations who share their vision to join PASTEF’s comprehensive territorial development project, further strengthening its reach in the Sahel.
