Abidjan, September 28, 2026 – A decisive shift is underway in how Côte d’Ivoire manages its radio spectrum. What exactly is a radio frequency? How are frequencies managed and allocated across the country? What systems exist to monitor their use and prevent interference? And what record can the Ivorian Frequency Management Agency (AIGF) present, along with its plans for the future?

These questions will take center stage at the “Tout Savoir Sur” (TSS) forum this Tuesday, September 29, 2026, starting at 3:00 PM, under the theme “The management and control of radio frequencies in Côte d’Ivoire.” Organized by the Government Information and Communication Center (CICG), this press conference will be streamed live on the Government’s digital platforms, including Facebook, X, and YouTube. Citizens are encouraged to follow the discussions and submit their concerns in real time.

The guest speaker is Aliou Bamba, Director of National Frequency Management at the AIGF. He will outline the Agency’s missions in managing the radio spectrum, as well as the mechanisms deployed to ensure rational, efficient, and secure use of frequencies nationwide.

The discussions will focus on frequency allocation and assignment procedures, conditions for spectrum use, and the surveillance and control systems designed to prevent and address jamming and interference. The AIGF’s track record will also be presented, along with its outlook for improving the management and control of this strategic resource.

The forum will take place at the premises of the Integrated Urban Land Management System (SIGFU), in the administrative district of Abidjan-Plateau, with journalists and sector stakeholders in attendance.

Held every Tuesday by the CICG, “Tout Savoir Sur” serves as a platform for exchange between public institutions, the media, and citizens, fostering a better understanding of public policies and services.
