Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on a deal for Ferran Torres, the Barcelona forward who scored the winning goal in the World Cup final for Spain. The move would reinforce the French champions’ attack, particularly after Gonçalo Ramos’ departure to AC Milan.
Under manager Luis Enrique, the club has made Torres their top target. The Spanish striker, who joined Barcelona in 2022 after a brief stint at Manchester City, could be on his way to Paris within two weeks, according to insiders. The Catalan club has set a transfer fee of €50 million to initiate negotiations.
Torres, a product of Valencia’s youth academy, has made 208 appearances and scored 65 goals for Barcelona in La Liga. Despite facing criticism in Spain at times and occasionally being benched, the forward appears keen on joining PSG, the reigning European champions.
The deal is progressing alongside other targets, including French internationals Lucas Digne and Maghnes Akliouche, as PSG continues to shape their squad for the upcoming season.
