Leading the formation was a coordinator, proudly holding aloft the red-yellow-green flag, with snipers positioned strategically behind. The rhythmic cadence of the elite unit’s signature march, “Pas de Caméléon,” echoed through the streets as they advanced.

The Guinean special forces drew thunderous applause from the crowd, punctuated by standing ovations and military salutes from the official grandstand as they concluded the foreign contingents’ parade in Abidjan during the 66th anniversary celebrations of Côte d’Ivoire’s independence.

This showcase of military precision did not go unnoticed. Television broadcasts and social media platforms buzzed with reactions from journalists, influencers, and netizens alike, all praising the Guinean detachment’s powerful display of strength and discipline.

Deloy Dadié, an Ivorian attendee, shared his enthusiasm: “I’m Ivorian, but for me, this was the best parade. I’ve watched it repeatedly in calm moments and even downloaded the footage. Thank you, Guinea.”

Constant Silué went further, comparing the Guinean display to that of his own nation’s military: “I loved the Guinean special forces parade more than our own.
