Paris Saint-Germain prepares substantial bid for Julian Alvarez
Following the conclusion of the Champions League final, Paris Saint-Germain’s management is reportedly gearing up to initiate serious negotiations for the acquisition of Julian Alvarez. The capital club intends to table a formal offer to secure the Argentine forward from Atlético de Madrid, who are understood to be seeking in excess of €100 million for his transfer.

During the summer of 2024, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s PSG made an attempt to sign Julian Alvarez, though their efforts proved unsuccessful. The 26-year-old attacker ultimately opted to join Atlético de Madrid instead of the Parisian outfit. The Colchoneros reportedly secured his services from the Citizens with an offer believed to be around €75 million.
Alvarez transfer: PSG prepares its offensive
Despite being overlooked by Julian Alvarez two years ago, PSG has not abandoned its interest in the player. Indeed, Luis Campos has reportedly reactivated the pursuit of the Argentine international, with the aim of bringing him to Luis Enrique’s squad this summer. Reports indicate that PSG’s sporting directorate recently held discussions with Fernando Hidalgo, Julian Alvarez’s representative. The Parisian club expressed its interest to the agent and subsequently requested a postponement of further negotiations. This delay was sought to prevent any potential internal tensions that could disrupt the team’s preparations for their crucial Champions League final match.
Atlético demands over €100 million for Alvarez
According to reports, Atlético de Madrid is patiently awaiting an offer significantly exceeding €100 million for the transfer of Julian Alvarez. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s PSG, having clinched their second consecutive Champions League title, is expected to move swiftly and submit an official proposal to the Colchoneros for their number 19. The critical question now remains whether Julian Alvarez will agree to join PSG on this occasion.
