During a recent press conference, Aminata Touré, the general supervisor for the Diomaye Président coalition, reflected on the removal of former Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.

 

Touré asserted that Ousmane Sonko’s period in the premiership ultimately proved unsuccessful, which directly led to his dismissal. She remarked with irony, “We appointed you Prime Minister, entrusted you with important files, and you proved incapable of advancing them, leading to your removal.”

 

Aminata Touré further emphasized that genuine leadership and courage lie in actively resolving the challenges faced by Senegalese citizens. She highlighted the importance of leveraging one’s skills, strategic thinking, and professional network to achieve this, rather than simply exercising authority for two years without delivering concrete solutions to the nation’s difficulties.
