Ivorian PM rallies investors at PND 2026-2030 consultative forum in Abidjan

Investor-focused session gathers over 700 global business leaders

Abidjan — Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé inaugurated the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated exclusively to investors, at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan on July 9, 2026. The high-profile gathering brought together business leaders and private sector representatives from friendly nations, underscoring Côte d’Ivoire’s commitment to fostering public-private partnerships.

Strengthening economic partnerships and investment momentum

Addressing the assembly, Prime Minister Mambé emphasized the critical role of private investment in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s development agenda. “Today marks another milestone in our consultative journey focused on investment, enterprise, and value creation,” he stated. “We have successfully convened over 700 investors from across the globe, all eager to contribute to our national growth strategy.”

The Prime Minister highlighted the event as a pivotal platform for fostering dialogue between policymakers and private sector stakeholders, while aligning on a shared vision for sustainable development. “Your presence here today reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory,” he remarked. “As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in shaping a more competitive and job-rich economy.”

A resilient economy poised for transformation

Mambé reassured investors of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years despite global challenges. “Our economy has consistently demonstrated adaptability and strength, securing its position among Africa’s most dynamic markets,” he noted. “This momentum presents unparalleled opportunities for investors seeking high-return ventures.”

The Prime Minister outlined key sectors earmarked for accelerated investment under the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure development (transport, digital, logistics), human capital investment, innovation, and essential services. “These pillars will not only enhance our competitiveness but also drive inclusive economic growth,” he asserted.

Institutional partners rally behind Côte d’Ivoire’s vision

The first day of the forum, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries. This robust turnout underscored the international community’s confidence in the nation’s economic blueprint.

Leading voices from the private sector echoed the government’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. “We are fully prepared to contribute substantial financial resources to the successful implementation of the PND 2026-2030,” they declared.
